In this lesson, you have learned about editorial writing and considered key tips for success in English 3. Now, it is time for you to share some key background information regarding your own success in English 3 and to connect to your community.


Answer the questions below. Your responses should be in the form of complete sentences. You will then submit your responses as the assessment for this lesson.
  1. Why are you taking English 3 online?

  2. What will make this year a success for you? (possibly earning a certain grade, completing the course within a certain time period, gaining certain knowledge)

  4. Find an editorial from a local newspaper. (If you have difficulty finding a copy in print, check the internet. Many local newspapers have internet sites.) In 10 words or less, tell why the issue presented in the editorial caught your attention. Please also include the title of the editorial, the author, and the date published.
