The pictures above show some key images of the Civil War, and will get us started on examining this time in our nation's history. In lesson 4.02 we studied the power of Lincoln's words at Gettysburg. In this lesson, we will examine the Civil War era through images. The Civil War was the first war to be documented through photography, and the impact of images from this time in history can be quite powerful.
